American Horror Story Bag

After my third surgery for the same herniated disc and then recovery I'm getting back into crafting.    I'm organizing all my supplies and thinking about what I want to work on.  I've decided that I'm going to focus on making bags.  I'll make all different kinds but mostly purses and small zipper bags.

I started making bags to get ready for a craft show this past November.   Unfortunately due to my back I had to cancel.  I posted one bag on my Facebook page, MadFoamingCat.

By December I was doing a bit better so I decided to work on making a bag for my sister as a Christmas gift.  We both like American Horror Story so I thought it would be fun to make Elsa's bag from season 4, Freak Show.  It has a cool unique design on the front.  Making this bag also gave me some practice with my Embroidery software.

Here is the bag I made.

The front and back are a white fleece, I thought it would give a nice texture like a carpet bag.  I embroidered the front using my software to create the design.

I found some cool funky fabric in my fabric bin that I used for the inside.  I wasn't sure what the inside of the bag from the show looked like so I just did my own thing.  I thought using the different colors would give it the feel of a carnival.  There is a large pocket on the front and back of the inside as well as a small pocket on each side.

It's not an exact replica but it's very similar.

  2. Hi, thank you for your interest! I do take custom orders through my Etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/MFCshop or on Facebook, www.facebook.com/MadFoamingCat. I won't be able to make the bag exactly the same because I don't have the same inside martial.
