This is the pattern I used.
First I had to make a base. Then you crochet around to make the sides. I added stripes.
When you're done you fold it in half and whip stitch to the base.
You sew on the other parts you made( 4 paws, 2 handles, head, tail, flap to cover the top, and button to keep top closed) and you have a cat purse! I didn't put in a lot of detail but it's pretty simple. I got the pattern at JoAnn Fabrics, but I'm sure other places like Amazon.com has it if you want to check it out.
Last night I finally finished the chainmail bikini top I started in a class at GenCon, August 2011. I had put it away and never had the chance to finish it, mainly I because I'm always getting myself involved with too many projects. Since finishing the cat purse I decided to take the time to finish the chainmail before I started anything else.
The class was a lot of fun and I probably would have finished sooner but I measured wrong. I think this was the group that had the class, http://chainmail-legion.com/ . This website has some great tutorials http://cgmaille.com/tutorials.shtml\ A great website to buy rings and scalemail is The Ring Lord .
GenCon
Here are the other things I made at GenCon.
Chainmail dicebag Scailmail bracers
And I didn't make the sculpture but I painted it. The are a ton of great crafting classes at GenCon. I hope to take many more this year! I have some scales left from the bracers I might use to decorate the bikini top and extra chain links I might use to make some jewelry.
