Crochet Slippers

It's been far too long since I have made a post.  I've been busy with birthdays, holidays, and weddings.  It has also been due to being lazy again.  I treat my free time like treasure,  I just want to hold onto it and never use it.  I still have a little more craziness to go through in the next couple of months but hopefully I'll be better about making posts and just making stuff in general.  I've made lots of different things but for most I think it's been too long to post about, or I forgot to take pictures.  So I'll just talk about one of my most recent projects.

For the kids on my husband's side of the family I decided to make slippers.  I found this really cute pattern on Etsy, TwoGirlsPatterns .   I made one pair bunny like the pattern and then made some of my own animals.

This is the first pair I talked about.  I went with brown bunnies because you always see white ones and i think brown bunnies are very pretty.  I also decided to do only one bow on each slipper,  I liked them better that way.

There is a little boy on that side of the family and I wasn't sure what kind to make for him so I came up with these silly looking characters.  I just made some eyeballs, little arms, and added teeth.  I should have made the teeth a little smaller but they still look ok.

I found out the one little girl liked cheetahs so I altered the pattern to cheetah slippers.

The last little girl loves her little dog, he's some kind of terrier.  He's white so I made the slippers to match.

This last picture is to show what I did to the bottom of the slippers,  I added something similar to all of them.  I used puffy paint on the bottoms to help make them a little less slippery.  For the animals I did little paws and dots.   For the characters I did zigzag lines.  For all of them I put the size one them.  I figured it's always hard to tell the size of stuff for kids so that should make it a little easier.
